Schlow Centre Region Library
Schlow Centre Region Library is located in the heart of downtown State College—and right in the heart of the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts. The library opens doors for members of our diverse community to gather, share, and discover a wealth of ideas, the joy of reading, and the power of information.
Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts
The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts brings over 125,000 people to downtown State College and the University Park campus of Penn State to celebrate the arts with its nationally recognized presentations of visual and performing arts, including the Sidewalk Sale and Exhibition, and music, dance and theatrical performances on a variety of indoor and outdoor stages.
Centre County Library
The Centre County Library and Historical Museum is located in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Its supports branch libraries Aaronsburg, Centre Hall, and Philipsburg. It also operates a Bookmobile that travels throughout Centre County
Nittany Valley Writers Network
The Nittany Valley Writers Network is a sharing, supportive, inspiring community linking local writers of all genres and levels of experience: expert and novice, published and hopeful.
Penn State University Libraries
The University Libraries comprise 36 libraries at 24 locations throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Libraries' cataloged collection now approaches 5 million items. Roughly 100,000 volumes are added to the collection annually.
Central Pennsylvania Convention and Visitors' Bureau
The Central Pennsylvania Convention and Visitors’ Bureau is a one stop resource for information about lodging, attractions, and outdoor recreation for leisure and business travelers as well as local residents.
Borough of State College
While its official name is The Borough of State College, "Happy Valley" is sometimes used as a colloquialism for the State College area. Commentators referring to Penn State athletic events often give the location as "Happy Valley" rather than mentioning State College or the specific campus facility.
Downtown State College Improvement District
The mission of the Downtown State College Improvement District is to provide a safe, clean environment in State College Borough and to enhance the image of downtown State College to encourage people to live, work, play, and visit State College. The district is a Neighborhood Improvement District, established by ordinance of the Borough of State College.
The Pennsylvania State University
From its founding as an agricultural school in 1855, Penn State has grown into a world class learning community focused on teaching, research and public service. In addition to the University Park campus, there are 22 other campuses across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Penn State Alumni Association
While the Alumni Association's roots lie in Happy Valley, its branches extend across the globe. Alumni Association members live in every county in Pennsylvania, every state in the United States, and in many countries around the world. For the past 10 years, proud Penn State alumni have made their association the largest dues-paying organization of its kind in the world.
Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County
The chamber aims to promote healthy business growth while maintaining the high quality of life that people love about Centre County.
